Author's Note: Introduction & Synopsis

Welcome to Apocalypse Panic! This is my first serial novel, so bear with me. :P I decided to serialize it when I realized the plot had more of an episodic, rather than a sweeping one-adventure, one-novel kind of feel. Therefore, while the overall story will continue through all the adventures, there will be mini-adventures and mini-stories throughout. Kind of like a television show.

The Mini-Synopsis is up top, but the full synopsis is this: Growing up, Willa's grandmother always told her about their birthright - Willa's family is one of seven who guard seven keys. Together, those keys form a mystical sword. As she got older, these fairytales became more and more embarrassing, especially when Grammy would take Willa out of school to brush up on her martial arts for the "big day" - when the sword owner, a knight, would come for his key.

Frustrated after a night of being taunted by her friends, Willa throws her key into the ocean. And then...meets the knight - who promptly tells her she's an ass, and he wants his key back.

Now, Willa's got to find it, or face the horrible consequences: without his sword, the knight can't save the world, and if he can't save the world, everyone is doomed. Including poor Willa.

The first Webisode, the primere, if you will, will be posted on January 24th, 2008!
